England announce Euro 2016 squad for France

Andros Townsend, Danny Drinkwater and Fabian Delph have missed out as England manager Roy Hodgson finalized his 23-man squad for Euro 2016.

The form of young Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford had given Hodgson a headache in recent weeks, leading to the former Liverpool boss delaying the announcement.

After much deliberation, the Newcastle United, Leicester City and Manchester City trio were the ones to give way ahead of England's final warm-up game against Portugal on Thursday, June 2.

England open their campaign in France against Russia on June 11 before a meeting with Wales on June 16, and finally Slovakia four days later.
